Portraiture

Here is a selection of a small fraction of portrait busts in marble, bronze, and terracotta I've done over the years. I learned to sculpt under the tutelage of a portrait painter. My natural attraction to narrative, character, and psychology of expression have led me to continue the exploration of portraiture past my school years, as a professional specialty as well as a personal interest.

I can travel worldwide to model portraits, always directly from living models. Twenty hour's sitting time is usually sufficient, though more than one of these portraits below was done in under four hours. Many of these busts are in my private collection, and several are available.
